Sanjiv Pandita is the regional representative of the Swiss-based organization Solidar Suisse, promoting ‘decent work’ across the supply chains in Asia. He has a long history of engaging on workers' rights issues in Asia and is a well-known activist and recognized expert in occupational and environmental safety and health. He was also the executive director of the Asia Monitor Resource Centre (AMRC), a leading regional labor organization based in Hong Kong, where he played an important role in the establishment of the Asian Network for the Rights of Occupational and Environmental Victims (ANROEV), a unique grassroots health and safety network in Asia. He is also on the board of Electronics Watch–working for rights of workers in electronics supply chain. He has published widely on the working conditions in Asia and has received several international awards including the 2020 Leslie Nickels International Health and Safety Award by the American Public Health Association (APHA).
